Water Tank (GRP Lining)
Waterproofing your home or water tanks is crucial for protecting your property and ensuring your family’s safety. GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) lining is a common method used to coat and protect the interior of water tanks in various industries, including the construction and water supply sectors. In Dubai, as in many other places, GRP lining is used to prevent leakage, corrosion, and contamination of stored water.
Primer Application: A suitable primer is applied to the cleaned surface to ensure proper adhesion of the GRP lining material.
Layering: Multiple layers of GRP lining material are applied to the tank's interior. These layers typically consist of a combination of resin and fiberglass reinforcement. The number of layers and the specific materials used can vary depending on the tank's size, purpose, and the manufacturer's specifications.
Hydrostatic pressure forces water into the building through cracks, joints and any porous substrates, causing possible major structural damage and is likely to contribute to mold, corrosion and other moisture-related problems.
